From Golf Pro to YouTuber
We are delighted to announce that Julian has recently been ranked in the top 17% of golf coaches on YouTube for Total Subscribers, View and Video Count. I know you will agree with me, that this achievement is a testament to his dedication and his ability to provide valuable and insightful content to golfers of all levels.
During lockdown when Julian couldn't work, he took to YouTube to produce videos for his followers. He covered all golf related topics, short game, long game, bunkers etc etc. Despite all manner of setbacks with the weather and technical hitches we now have over 450 videos in our Proper Golfing Academy Library which people subscribe to. Now at over 25 000 subscribers he has amassed over 7 million views. When he trained as a golf pro all those years ago he never thought that making tutorial videos would be a skill set that he had to develop. Julian adds "I am absolutely thrilled to have been recognised for my content. I have spent hundreds if not thousands of hours developing it and it's a real privilege to be helping so many people with their golf"

Proper Golfing gives players the chance to hone their skills and learn factual information about what’s actually happening to their golf shots. There is also a choice of courses to play for those who want to play a round of virtual golf.

The venture is the brainchild of businesswoman Jo Cameron and partner PGA Professional golf coach Julian Mellor, who can also provide golfers with personalised 1-2-1 coaching.
The duo set up the business on the back of Julian’s successful online golfing academy which has amassed almost 25,000 followers on YouTube worldwide.
